Trio of cycling and tourism conferences under CicloBCN banner revealed

A trio of cycle tourism and cycling conferences will takes place under the CicloBCN banner this October in Barcelona, comprising the EuroVelo & Cycling Tourism Conference, the XVIII Iberian Congress Bicycle and the City and the 7th International Bicycle Conference.

Set for October 5th to 10th, CicloBCN will be an in-person event with each element hosting an exhibition, opportunity to network, technical visits and a plethora of content to engage audiences interested in the growth of cycle tourism and cycle use across Europe. An online platform will also be provided for those who wish to follow the three congresses virtually.

Eurovelo conference
This element of the event builds on a series that has run since 2012 and is tailored to the sharing of knowledge of what factors play into the success of cycle tourism across Europe; and records are still being set, despite Covid.

This element attracts everything from tour operators, accommodation providers, academics, public authorities and transport businesses.

International Bicycle Conference
The 2025 Catalan Cycling Strategy will form the centrepiece discussion of this year’s conference. This element of the event will serve to enlighten public administrators, cycling orgs and professionals on the creation of conditions to bolster cycling’s uptake as a sustainable mode of transport.

Iberian Congress Bicycle
Finally, the Iberian Congress Bicycle will present the novelties and experiences specifically found in Spain and Portugal.

The event’s organisers have now issued a call for papers, inviting those with stories to tell at the various conferences to make proposals to appear on the list of headliners. You can now make those submissions here.
